Worker rehabilitation is a vital part of the injury management process for workers' compensation. Appropriate, evidence based rehabilititation supports workers' in recovering from an injury and prepares them both physically and pyschologically to return to work after an injury.

At LGIS we know that having the right rehabilitation partner is vital to the success of this process.

The LGIS WorkCare Workplace Rehabilitation Provider Panel will go to tender in late January 2024 to make sure that our members, and their workers, are supported by excellent return to work providers and receive high quality service. The final panel will be appointed and ready to go live from 1 July 2024.

We are focused on building strong relationships with innovative suppliers who can offer our members:

  • On the ground coverage in regional locations; they know the local area and treatment providers.
  • Highly skilled, strong communicators, with demonstrated excellent outcomes.
  • Consistent quality reporting across all panel providers, in a format that is easy to interpret and implement.

Our exisiting workplace rehabilitation panel members, along with new providers, will be invited to respond. We're particularly focused on ensuring that invitations are extended to strong industry leaders who have a presence in the regions. The panel will add value, not only to workers' compensation and injury management, but prevention, training and other value adding serivces for our members.

This process will include rigourous submission, interview and tendering componets with independent third party oversight. 

What does this mean for our members?

  • The existing panel will stay in effect and unchanged until 30 June 2024.
  • LGIS will update our members on the successful workplace rehabilitation providers appointed to the panel.
  • Partnering with strong industry leaders, to get the best outcomes for the sector's return to work and injury management.
